I have a couple of new knitting projects to share! There is a limited supply of people in the world who appreciate hand knits, so you guys get to see me show off. Alas, not from my own critters, that one will have to wait till next time! First is a fingerless mitt pattern I have been designing. I am a true n00b at designing patterns, and my two very patient test knitters have endured pdf update after pdf update. They are angels. I am not sure if I an 100% happy with the thumb gusset placement, as the cable pattern tends to drift inward. But, but, I want symmetry! We will see what my test knitters think.
Next is a pattern that is coming out this spring from Classic Elite Yarns. I was happy to knit up a sample for JenningStreet Yarns in Fort Worth, who will be carrying the new CEY patterns this spring. Like most lace, it was kinda meh … then I blocked it. And then it was loverly!
Mmmmm, I love to knit. Pardon me, I am going to go knit a dwarf. I adored the awesome knit stuff in “The Hobbit,” and I clearly need a small plush dwarf to knit for. Odd even for me, yes, I know. But hey, when one’s life revolves around yarn and stories, it somehow makes sense.
