Our frizzle cochin/silkie (that is a chicken, for the uninitiated) dutifully say on her nest for 3 weeks, and was rewarded this week with a half dozen fluffy baby chicks! We are not sure if they are her chicks, or if they were laid by her flockmates Hickory or Cher – they have a communal nest, like many chickens. The daddy is Baxter, our gorgeous, sweet cochin/silkie rooster. They are such adorable little fuzzballs!
